The most dangerous part of spending time at home is keep craving something to nibble. As I am not fan of packed foods, I do prefer to make homemade snacks and the best part of it is you can bake it as you wish: sweet, salty, spicy, cheesy, etc.
So I will share my favourite crackers those remind me my childhood.
I’ll share ingredients but the ingredients actually depend on how you wish. So, I’ll share according to my taste.
Ingredients for dough
1 cup warm water
1 tbsp yeast
50 gr soft butter
3 cups flour (self rising, strong bread or for salty crackers whole wheat is my favourite. )
1 tbsp salt
For salty crackers
1 cup cheddar
2 tbsp black sesame seed
2 tbsp sesame seed
2 tbsp chia seed
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp hot chilli
For sweet crackers
1 cup coconut
100 gr dark chocolate
1 tbsp sugar
Half cup chopped roasted hazelnut
Put the yeast in warm water, sugar mixture and leave the yeast to be activated.
Put the flour, butter and salt in a bowl and make a hole on it and pour the water slowly. Knead well the dough and let it to rest for one hour.
When the dough is doubled, divide the dough into two pieces to make sweet and salty crackers.
Add the salty and sweet ingredients into the doughs and roll the dough very thin. Cut the dough with the cookie cutter or pizza cutter as you wish. Bake for 10 minutes on preheated oven 150º.
To prepare sweet crackers, melt the chocolate and put on a cracker and tap it with another cracker. Leave it 15 minutes to rest.
