Eso es una aventura de la llegada a la ciudad:

Si tuviera una palabra para describir Sevilla, segura que diría Amor: cada momento pasé en esta ciudad fue llena de sorpresa, amor y júbilo, nunca imaginaba que me dejara tanta admiración.

Llegamos a Sevilla desde Barcelona, otra vez usamos la red de Renfe, esta vez fue una rota tan larga para mis amigos Madrileños, sino fue una rota tan corta para disfrutar con el viaje de tren por los Estambuleños. Tuvimos mucho tiempo para ver alrededor sobretodo los suburbanos, o sea como tarda mucho tiempo ir desde un lugar hacia otro en Estambul viajar 5 horas desde un lado de una ciudad hacia otra no es tan largo para nosotros, encima con este amor de viajar en tren, eso es nada.

Se cuesta €50,60 el billete de tren por cada persona desde Barcelona hasta Seville, es un poquito caro, lo sé, sino por lo menos tuvimos el coche silencio 🙂 . Cuando llegamos a Sevilla todo nos parece muy diferente, por supuesto sobretodo el acento. El parado de autobús está muy cerca de la estación de tren, Santa Justa. Allí cogiéramos el autobús de número 32 para ir a la plaza de Duque. Eso fue una aventura muy compleja, es que una mujer mayor querría ayudarnos para ir a la plaza cuando cogiéramos el autobús sino no pudimos poder coger al autobús por no tener dinero más pequeño que €20, es decir, el conductor no aceptó €20 por dos personas y tuvimos que salir de autobús y preguntar a la gente si tuvieran moneda más pequeña, eso fue más interesante que nadie tuvo €20 aunque querrían ayudarnos. En fin, tuvimos que volver a la estación para cambiar el dinero, sino la oficina de cambio no acepto cambiar euro, entonces fui a McDonald’s y la mujer que trabajaba allí me trató muy mal educada y arrogante, entonces fui a la tienda que viene para preguntar sino eso tampoco lo aceptó en fin compré algunas cosas para obtener unas monedas pequeñas sino eso fue una tortura, es que €20 no es mucho para vivir tanto sufrimiento. Finalmente volvimos al parado otra vez. En fin de vacación descubrimos que sería mejor coger un taxi para ir al hotel, es que en la vuelta se costó €7 desde nuestro hotel hasta a la estación, encima es posible pagar en tarjeta crédito en los taxis.

Cuando llegamos al centro fue casi a las 20.00 y olvidamos todo sufrimiento para llegar allí, es que el centro fue lleno de la gente y pensé que había una fiesta o una boda allí y entonces no pude seguir preguntándolo a la gente que qué estaba pasando allí. El joven se rio de mí y dijo que era un día normal, siempre este sitio estaba así, llena de la gente, en una manera de fiesta, encima me dijo tengo que mirar a la calle que viene es que eso también fuera igual. Entonces no podríamos perder ni un minuto y fuimos al hotel y dejamos las maletas y volvimos a la calle.

El hotel estaba ubicado en el centro, un minuto de pie desde la plaza del Salvador, era un hotel tan simpático que tuvo una arquitectura del siglo XVIII y el patio era cómodo para descansar después de un día caloroso. Encima empleados eran muy amables sobretodo mi favorita Laura.

¿Dónde están Obama y tía Michelle?

El día siguiente participamos un tour gratuita en andando. Eso fue muy útil que tuvimos una vista rápida de la ciudad. Este tour gratuita se empieza en muchos rincones de la ciudad y se queda en un punto común, se separa en los grupos según de los idiomas y segura que se da propina es que este tour funciona así y merece mucha pena para darlo.

Este día había muchísima policías en toda la ciudad. Eso llamó mucha la atención para nosotros, vale estamos muy acostumbrados en este escenario sino nunca vimos eso en Europa, por eso no tuve nada más que preguntarlo a nuestra guía. Ella explicó que el día siguiente Obama fuera allí y todas las preparaciones fueran para ellos. Eso fue una noticia tan enorme para nosotros es que estábamos en España y tuvimos una oportunidad de ver el presidente de EEUU. Eso fue algo muy importante para nosotros es que como tenemos mucha simpatía de ellos, estaba un fan de Michelle Obama, le llamo como tía Michelle, tuve mucha felicidad en este día. Encima si fueran a Turquía segura que no podríamos ninguna oportunidad de verles es que segura que todas las calles fueran cerradas u otras muchas cosas..

El día siguiente lo pregunté a Laura que dónde podemos verles sino tuvimos una respuesta muy triste que se cancelaron el programa por un ataque y tuvieron que tener una visita corta y volver a EEUU. Eso fue una desesperanza chocante sino la vida seguía continuando, tuvimos que vivir con esta pena 🙂

¿Qué vimos en la ciudad?

Como hay muchas cosas para hacer y ver en la ciudad, solo pudimos ver cosas las que están en el centro como la Giralda, Jardines de Murillo, Museo de Baile Flamenco, Hotel Alfonso XIII, Plaza del Salvador, real fábrica de tabacos (la universidad de Sevilla) y en fin Torre del Oro. Segura que fue tan difícil despedir de esta ciudad tan bonita, sino le prometimos que le visitaremos más en futuro. Para mí esta ciudad nada más que un amor, en un lado piensas en las cigarreras las que se inspiraron Carmen entre las piedras de real fábrica de tabaco, por otro lado viajas a la triste leyenda de Torre del Oro y miras a Giralda y te pierdes entre los cuerpos diferentes.

Podéis ver este símbolo o esta palabra en todos los rincones de la ciudad. De verdad, me encanta eso, es que es un regalo para los ciudadanos fieles de Sevilla por apoyar Alfonso X El Sabio, durante una guerra contra su hijo Sancho, es significa que Sevilla, “no madeja do” es decir, Sevilla “no me ha dejado”.

Alfonso X el Sabio era un hombre de letras y culto sino no estaba bien demasiado de gobernar, por eso su pueblo no estaba contento. Así el pueblo se dividieron en dos grupos: los que apoyaban al rey Alfonso y los que seguían a su hijo, el príncipe Sancho que le apoyaba su madre, esposa del rey, doña Violante. El ejército de Sancho iba ganando muchos territorios y logró alzarse como rey en la mayor parte de España. Cuando llegó a Sevilla, la ciudad en la que viejo rey Don Alfonso estaba y pasaba sus últimos días de la vida allí, los sevillanos le mostraron la fidelidad y le sirvieron en todo. Por esta fidelidad el Ayuntamiento de Sevilla cogió este lema y se puede verla en todos los rincones de la ciudad.

Lo que más importante: ¿Qué comemos?

De verdad soy un amante de la cocina turca, como he aprobado muchas cocinas diferentes todavía la cocina turca es mi favorita, sino tengo que confesar que la cocina española me aficiona mucho, sobre todo con la riqueza de los mariscos, con la empanada de atún, con la sinceridad de los bocadillos, dulces, platos de carne y todo.

Hemos anunciado nuestro hogar para desayunar 13 cuarenta y desayunamos todos los días allí con los tostados tan deliciosos. Es un restaurante simpático, barato y amable, se crearon las maravillas con unas gotas de aceita de oliva, un poquito de roquefort y unas piezas de tomates y encima pagas casi €2 por un tostado y un café.

Otro plato favorito es por supuesto rabo del toro, lo comimos en la Bodega Estrella Dorada, y algunas tapas, plato de dorado y nos gustó mucho: tiene el precio justo, un plato de rabo del toro se cuesta €12, dorado €14, patatas ali oli €2.2, y tampoco podemos olvidar del puding de frutos que se cuesta €2.75, y está en el centro.

No pudimos volver sin comer un burger de torro. Lo comimos en Volapie y también eso fue un plato delicioso y diferente para nosotros. Además si quieres comer algo rápido la idea de la paella que se lleva es genial.

Y guardo al fin lo que más delicioso: Blanco Paloma que lo hemos descubierto por suerte cuando caminamos en las calles de Sevilla. Eso es un restaurante más lejos del centro y muy local, con un menú rico y con los camareros tan simpáticos.

Me encantó hamburguesitas de gambas al ajillo! Fue un un rey de los platos de España para mí. (El tapas se cuesta €3, ½ ración €6, una es €9. También merece mucha pena aprobar salmón a la parrilla con crema de puerros y zanahoria (el tapas se cuesta €3, ½ ración €6, una es €15). Los camareros eran tan simpáticos que cuando les preguntó la contraseña de WiFi él me dijo que no WiFi, “hablar”, fue tan simpático que significaba mucha con una palabra.

Último parado: Vamos a Flamenco

Flamenco es un símbolo de la cuidad y hay muchas ofertas diferentes para ver un espectáculo. Algunas ofertas incluidas la cena o bebida. Las ofertas empiezan desde €15, hasta €25. Lo vimos en un bar que se llama La Carbonería. La entrada fue gratuita sino no fue un espectáculo profesional y encima las tazas eran tan sucias que fue imposible beber algo. De todos modos disfrutamos con el baile y música flamenco.

Lo que más difícil parte

Último parado de la aventura de España pasó tan impresionante y en fin volvimos a Madrid para despedirles a nuestros amigos y dejamos muchas memorias buenas, corazones tan amables y lágrimas. No lo sé si exista los ángeles sino estoy segura que vi algunos de ellos allí.

This is an arrival adventure of the city

If there were a word to describe Seville, definitely I would say Love: every moment that I had in that city was full of surprise, love and joy that I could never ever imagine that I would have that much admiration of that city.

We arrived to Seville over Barcelona, we used the line of Renfe again, this time we had very long travel distance according to my friends from Madrid but it was very short distance to enjoy with the journey of train for people of Istanbul. We had enough time to watch around, especially to observe suburban, it means as everything takes very long time in Istanbul traveling 5 hours from one side of the country until the other one no is too long distance for us, even with the love of train this is nothing.

The train ticket between Barcelona and Seville costs €50, 60, yes I know this is little bit expensive but at least we had silence wagon 🙂 . When we arrived to Seville everything was looking very different for us, especially the accent. The bus stop is very close to train station Santa Justa. We supposed to take the bus 32 to go to Duque square but suddenly this easy step turned into a torturing adventure. An old lady recommended us to follow her that she would show us where to leave from bus but even we were not able to get in the bus because our smallest money was €20 and the bus driver told that he would not accept that much big banknote and we had to go out the bus to ask people to change money and meanwhile we lost our helpful lady. Then we asked to people around but even they check their wallets and even they want to help us nobody didn’t have that much money that this surprised us and then once again we had to go back to train station. The change office lady told that she would not change euro, then I asked to woman in McDonald’s but she treated me very rude and arrogant and I asked to the next shop to change money and he also said he wouldn’t and finally buying something came to my mind after that much torturing. It was not that much big money to suffer that much, anyway. At the end of the holiday we discovered that we did not have to have that much torture to go to hotel because taking a taxi would be easier and cheap as well. Because at the end of the holiday coming to train station over our hotel costs only €7 and it was possible to use credit card if you do not have small money.

When we arrived to centre it was around 20.00 o’clock and suddenly we forgot this trouble we lived until we arrived here because the square was full of people and we thought there was some kind of festival or party and then I did not have anything to do then asking to people what was going on there. A young man explained that it was a normal day as everyday this square was like that and even he advised to check the next street that it was as same as there. Then we did not want to lose any second and went to leave the luggages to the hotel and came back to square.

The hotel was located in centre, one minute to walk over the Salvador Square and it was very lovely hotel with the architecture from XVIII century and the yard of hotel was very comfortable that it was good to relax there after very hot days. Also the staff was very helpful and friendly, especially my favourite person was Laura.

Where are Obama and Aunt Michelle?

The next day of arrival we joined to a free walking tour. It was very useful that we had a general view of the city. This free tour starts over very different corners of the city and then you meet with all people on a common point then it is separated to different groups according to language option. And at the end of tour you give tip as how much you want.

That day there were so many polices around the city and it was very different view for us, okay, we’re very used to see this kind of stuff but to see it in a European country was different for us and then I had to ask it to guide and she explained day the next day Obama was planning a trip to Spain, also to Seville. Then it was a surprising news for us that we were in Spain and we had an opportunity to see the president of USA. It was very exciting for us because we have too much sympathy for them and I was used to say her Aunt Michelle that I was very happy that day. Because if they came to Turkey it is sure that we were not able to see them cause of closing the streets or other things..

The next day I woke up and asked to Laura that where we could see them but she explained that they had to have a short trip and go back earlier cause of an attack in USA. It was very very sad for us, but anyway life was going on and we had to learn to live with that pain 🙂 .

What did we see in the city?

As there are many places to visit in the city we could only see the places on the centre like La Giralda, Gardens of Murillo, Flamenco Dance Museum,Hotel Alfonxo XIII Salvador Square, Royal Tabaco Factory (University of Seville), Spanish Square and finally Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold). It is sure that it was very difficult to say goodbye to this beautiful city but we promised that definitely we will visit it more in future. For me this city is nothing more than a love: on one side you think about cigarreras (the women who makes cigarettes) among the walls of the Royal Cigarette Factory that inspired the Carmen, on the other hand you travel to sad legend of Torre del Oro or you just look at and you lose yourself between different bodies of La Giralda.

You will see this symbol around the city. Actually I very liked it: it is kind of gift that had been given to the faithful citizens of Seville for supporting Alfonso X The Wise during a war between his son Sancho, it means “no madeja do” or “no me ha dejado” Sevilla “has not abandoned me”

Alfonso X The Wise was a cultured man that he did not know much about to govern and for this reason his people were not happy. So people had been divided into two groups that his supporters and the supporters of his son who was supported by his mother, the wife of king Violante. The army of Sancho had conquered many territories and he managed to have power like a king in many part of the Spain. When he arrived to Seville that the city in which the old king Alfonso was there and he was spending his last days there, he did not abonden the city and then people of Seville showed him their royalty and they served him for anything. For this royalty the king rewarded the city with this slogan and it is possible to see it in anywhere of the city.

The most important part: What did we eat?

Actually I am a Turkish cuisine lover, even I tried many different cuisines still Turkish cuisine is on my top list but I’ve to confess that Spanish cuisine affected me much. Especially rich see food, tuna pies, the sincerity of sandwiches, sweets, meat dishes and many things.

We announced the restaurant of 13 cuarenta as our home and every day we had breakfast over there with very delicious toasts. It is kind of restaurant that sympatric, cheap and friendly. They just create amazing tastes with couple of drops of olive oil, little bit roquefort and with some pieces of tomatoes and you just pay almost €2 for un toast and café.

One of our favourite dish is of course “rabo del toro” bull’s tail stew, we ate it in restaurant of Bodega Estrella Dorada and we are some tapas and bonito dish there: it has normal price, a dish of rabo del toro costs €12, bonito €14, potato tapas €2.2 and we cannot forget the yummy taste of fruit pudding that costs €2.75 and the restaurant in on centre.

Also we couldn’t come back without eating a bull burger. We ate it in Volapie and it was also very tasty and different for us. And if you just pick something rapid, the idea of take-away paella is great.

I keep to end the yummiest one: Blanco Paloma that we had just discovered it by coincidence while we were walking on Seville streets. The restaurant is little bit far away from centre but it is possible to walk there, it is kind of local restaurant but has a rich menu and very friendly staff.

I loved “hamburguesitas de gambas al ajillo” prawn burger with garlic!!! It was one of the most delicious dish I’ve ever had in Spain. (tapas costs €3, ½ portion €6, one portion €9). Also definitely it was very delicious “salmón a la parrilla con crema de puerros y zanahoria” grilled salmon with cream of leeks and carrot (tapas €3, ½ portion €6, one portion €15). The waiters were so lovely that when I asked the password of Wi-Fi one of them, he said “no Wi-Fi, hablar” he meant that instead of wasting time in internet just talk to each other. He made sense.

The final destination: Let’s go to Flamenco

Flamenco is the symbol of the city and there are many offers to see a show. Some of them is included dinner and drink and the price starts from around €15 and it is possible to find around €25. We saw a show in a bar called La Carbonería. It has free entrance but the show is not very professional, even when you want to drink something the glassed were extremely dirty but anyway we had so much fun while watching the dance show.

The final destination of Spain was too impressive that we came back to Madrid to say goodbye to our lovely friends and we left behind many memories, lovely warm hearts and tears. I do not know whether the angels exist but I am sure that I saw some of them there.

It is sure that this adventure will continue!!!
